Sleigh
bells, snow, icicles and…tea in the garden? Cedarburg
adds another show to its holiday roster of events with its
Winter Garden Holiday Show at the Cedarburg Cultural Center
December 5-7.
Four local women coordinated the show in an effort to bring
a bit of spring to the onset of the cold season. Inspired
by their travels to fine arts fairs and craft festivals,
the women attracted artists and crafters with unique holiday
and garden items.
In addition to fresh greens, holiday wreaths, folk art,
antiques and architectural findings, the show will highlight
diverse talent, from Katherine Pannier from Fibber McGee's
antique and handmade Christmas items to Chelsea Galleries’
17th century antique prints. Local photographer Marcia Messman-Getto
will show her nature and travel images; Arlene Krieger from
The City Garden brings unique and ususual gifts, and Bob
Holmes from the Mequon area will showcase his wood art,
jewelry and garden poles.
For those in need of sustenance amid the shopping, the “Winter
in the Garden” tearoom will offer wine, a cheese
and chocolate mousse plate, hot chocoate, unusual floral
teas, cakes and desserts.
Winter in the Garden will be held at the Cedarburg Cultural
Center.
Friday, Dec.5,10 am-9 pm.
Saturday, Dec.6, 9 am -5 pm Sunday, December 7, 11am-5 pm
Proceeds benefit the Cultural Center
